- Top picture shows a lead hole being drilled into one of the foot prints
on the simulated terrain base of the Indricotherium kit so a wood screw can be used to secure
the terrain to the wood base.
|
- Middle picture shows a larger drill bit being used to create a counter-sink
so that the screw head sets level to or lower than the surface of the footprint.
Remember, once the model is fixed into place the screw head will be completely
hidden from site under the models foot.
|
- Bottom picture shows a self drilling wood screw being inserted into
the previously drilled hole. The screw should then be removed and and later
reinserted after the model has been finished and is ready to be permanently
assembled.
